Details:
This, the first and only Asheville Vegan Food Tour, is offered on a monthly basis, and on request, for groups of 1-6 people.
Local transportation will be via car/van and walking.
The tour departs from downtown Asheville at 10:00 am and lasts for 5-6 hours. If time allows and participants are interested, it can continue with a walking tour downtown for another hour where lots more vegan spots will be shown to you.
Sightseeing and food stops include:
- A coffee bar with a delectable vegan breakfast sandwich
- A visit to a vegan cafe and bookstore/community center
- A walk through Asheville’s bohemian commercial stretch, where I’ll point out other vegan options you might want to return to
- A visit to a small local market with many hard-to-find vegan surprises inside
- A visit to a beloved animal sanctuary where you’ll meet Elsa the blind cow
- Lunch at a much-loved downtown restaurant, to include a small entree, shared appetizers and kombucha samples
- A vegan doughnut
- A vegan ice cream sandwich sample (closed on Tuesdays)
- Some local vegan treats to take with you
